Sweater skirt

I scored some very lovely things in San Francisco this weekend... among them a chunky cable-knit skirt:
Of course I won't wear it quite that way, but this scratches my long-running itch for a dignified sweater-skirt. (Well, I also recently acquired a vintage purple mohair sweater dress, but that's more Dynasty than dignified. Not always a bad thing...)

Is it just me, or is Nina Garcia looking super mid-90s?

The shoes and belt in the first outfit aren't bad, but holy fucking Sears, Batman, that whole second outfit is heinous. She looks like Celine Dion.
