Power mesh

In my ongoing fascination with Newport News (ha! and you thought I was kidding about that), I discovered these pants:

I'm kinda into them. They're like a poor-gal's version of the pants Naomi Campbell is wearing in this YSL ad:

BUT! Before you get too excited... those Newport News babies feature a "built-in power-mesh boyshort" which "controls tummy & hips, lifts & shapes rear." WTF?! These are not swimming trunks. They are poly-blend, YSL-knockoff tweed-ish pants.

NO BUILT-IN MESH PANTIES, PLS.

I swear, I wasn't gonna buy them anyway. But still. I shoulda known there'd be trouble when the website was also recommending this item to me. Shudder. My love-hate relationship with NN continues...
